Help... 4 speakers 2 chanel amp
Ok i have a powerakustic ov2-820 amp and a pair of audiobahn 6x9" component speakers in my pickup. I also have a pair of audiobahn 6" speakers that i'm not using. I was wondering if i could hook up the 6" speakers with the 6x9"'s. This is my problem: the 6" speakers have an rms of about 50 and the 6x9"'s have an rms of 180. I was wondering that if i hooked these up togather if the 6" would blow or if they would only take the power they need and be fine? The 6" speakers arn't mine and i would try this if they were and see what hapenes but i don't want to wreck them.
If any one can help its appreciated.

there are no such things as component 6X9's .... they come in axial flavors (coxaial, triaxial, etc ...)
I am not really sure why you would want to do this, but a lot of main brand name axial speakers are way overrated anyway - so I wouldn't sweat it. Problem is, if you leave the 6X9's in the back and put the 6 1/2's in the front running off of one amp, you will have no control over fader volume (front to back).

Re: Help... 4 speakers 2 chanel amp
I already have speakers in the front i was placing the 6" in the rear and i have the 6x9" in a box. I just wnat to know if it will work its mroe of a curious thign then anything. BTW there are 6x9" component if you visit the audiobahn website and look around they make them, if ther is no such thing idk what i have then but i know they arn't any of the axial flavors.

Never heard of componet 6x9 speakers. They are usually Coaxal. Yes you can hook them up if the nominal impedance of the amp isn't lower than required.

Re: Help... 4 speakers 2 chanel amp
Just power the 6X9's. Or buy a 4 channel amp and use that for a sub.
