I swear it i cannot believe my tires still have a shine, and waxy residue on them after all the cleaning i just did.
Basically, i'm sick of shining my tires, it's a mess..and even if i have a light coat on them afterwards, it still somehow splashes on my rear panels making the whole car wash go to sh*t in no time. The only thing i do is shine my wheels slightly...then wipe them completely dry. Now, today, every tire got overhauled, no joke. First i hose them down, then i completely cover the entire tire with greased lightning degreaser (the heavy duty purple bottle)....wait like 3 minutes, then hose it off. Next i sprayed the tire AGAIN, then a coarse sponge with the degreaser...and go to town scrubbing them....then i hose it off with a strong stream.
It's not over..lol.... NOW i get my car wash soap, and a brush....i brush them really good and then hose them off. After all his wheel cleaning, i completely clean my car with a mitt/soap then hose her down. I get on the highway, one exit....80mph...she's dry, just some towel spots to dry. Ok, here's when i'm scratching my head.....why the HELL are my tires STILL SHINY...?!?!?!?!? To the touch, they feel oiley..no joke. WHAT THE HELL do i use to get them completely dry looking..? The tires are goodyear l/s and are about maybe 2 years old also. So i doubt it's any self-oiling type deal, AND the only time i notice my tires look nice and dry/NO SHINE, is after a heavy rain storm..
How the hell didn't degreaser work...? And ALOT of it. I wasted a whole 32oz bottle on all 4 tires, it did do wonders for my wheels though, nice..

Dead men naked, they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone
They shall have stars at elbow and foot
Though they go mad, they shall be sane
Though they sink through the sea
They shall rise again
Though lovers be lost love shall not
And death shall have no dominion.....
