Good 800RMS amp

Im getting 2 CompVr's
http://www.cardomain.com/sku/KIC03CVR1222PAC
and i was wondering what a good amp to get was. I was looking at a used Kenwood-720 but according to the RMS doesn’t put out anywhere near 800 Watts. so i started looking at an MTX Thunder 801
http://www.cardomain.com/sku/MTX801D

Can anyone recommend anything different that puts out 800RMS
Id like to keep the Budget down to under 200.
Any help would be great.

Thanks

Re: Good 800RMS amp

This one here might do it for you: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2858

$200 bucks exactly. (+shipping... )

ike's is an awesome place to get amps. Make sure you look at the RMS wattage ratings though... they like to list max in the product header.

edit.... do you have to get compVRs? They're not bad, but there's waaaaayyy better stuff out there for the money. Just ask, and you'll get all sorts of suggestions. RE, AA, Adire, Incrimator, etc internet companys seriously own almost all mainstream products.

Re: Good 800RMS amp

MTX amps are great, especially the one you have picked out. It will work very well. For 167 I tihnk the comp VR's are going to be your best bet, unless you bought a used RE SE 15 or something of the like. That's a pretty decent budget system though and if setup correctly will get loud and sound decent. Let me know if you need box plans.

well, if you have some good plans id be more then happy to take a look at them. I tried makeing a box before but it didnt really turn out too good. Screws comeing out places, and ran the sub once and it put a crack down the center. If you have some good plans send them to CJ1888@gmail.com Please.

I decided to go with the 05 verision of those subs insted of the 03, the specs are...

Rec. Ported Box Dims: 1.75 - 2.25 cu.ft.
Free Air Usage: not recommended
Sensitivity: 86.7 dB
Frequency Response: 25-500 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 400W
Peak Power Handling: 800W
Impedance: dual 2 ohms

Re: Good 800RMS amp

It's not just the plans being good but having the right tools and know how to put the stuff together.
