Discussion Title: help: no sound on left side of the car

help: no sound on left side of the car
i drive a 94 sentra and i get no sound out of my drivers side speakers. i know its not the radio, because i changed that out for a brand new one, and i know its not the speakers, because i changed those out too. is it most likely that the wires leading from the radio to the speakers got torn and are touching some metal? this is all i can think of, but it jsut seems like a weird coincidence they both tore on just the drivers side. correct me if im wrong, but two completley different sets of wires go from the radio to each speaker, so each set of wires must have both torn. in order to find the problem, will i have to remove the entire dashboard?

turn the fade to the center. ddddddddduuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm not tryin to sound like a smartass but thats my advice!

umm, yea. are u trying ot insult my intelligence or do you really believe i didnt think of that? and what kind of new stereo comes with balance set all teh way to te right?

That's happened to me before when I wired my friends new radio. You've probably already have done this, but have you looked to see if maybe you have the positive and negative wires crossed? Or even like you said, it could be possible that the wires are touching some metal. I'd check that as well.

yea, i thought it might be crossed wires too but the stock stereo didnt work either on that side. so its most likely the wires are touchign some metal? i jsut wanted to get a second opinion and see other possibilities before i started taking apart my dash. thanx
