somene please help me...
ok heres my problem
i tried putting on a bigger intake on my 1.6L 94 nissan sentra. i broke the MAF, and the check engine light came on. i ordered a new one form a junkyard, and it came today. i put it in and the check engine light was off. however the engine was sputtering a bit and there was the smell of gasoline so i figured the engine was flooded form getting incorrect readings when i ran the engine without a MAF. i turned the engine on again, and the light was back on! i thought this could possibly bethere being too much fuel in the engine, so i started to remove the intake plenum to suck out the fuel. i accidentally knocked off a hose from the plenum to the air intake, and i realized i could just take out the fuse for the fule pump. so i put the screws back in the plenum and ran the car til it ran out of fuel. i put everything back, and also noticed the hose and put it back, and ran the engine. i also disconnected and reconnected the battery to reset everything. still the light was on! this time the engine wasnt sputtering though. the only thing i can think of is the new MAF is also broken. can if break from too much air the new intake is getting? i tried doing a diagnostic but its a pain to get to the ECU where nissan put ti and i cant figure it out.
