what amps for 1 jl 13.5 w7
hey i am goin to buy one jl audio 13.5 w7. right now the 2 amps i have to power it is 1 mmats 1400.05 and a jbl GTO1201.1. now i was told if run this sub to 2 different amps it will blow the voicecoils. i was told i should run 2 1400.1 mmats amps and i would be safe. i was wondering is threre any thruth in this and if i do need 2 of the same amps would runnin 2 1400.05 mmats amps instead of the 1400.1 blow the sub too.

Re: what amps for 1 jl 13.5 w7
ummmm you only need to run the mmats. wire the sub in parallel and you'll be good to go.

it's hard enough to balance out 2 exactly the same amps on one speaker (unless they have a special mode on them), I am not sure I would try it with 2 dissimiliar amps.
