AWESOME 6x9 or 5x7 holder for 92-95 civic hatchback

I've been into making ingenious custom speaker holders for cars, more into 6x9s and 5x7s.

This holder i make, as far as i know, fits into 92-95 civic hatchbacks, and may fit into some later model hatchbacks. Of course, if the product is flawed/doesn't fit, feel free to send it back, i'll pay for shipping on the way back if necessary.

Now to the actual product:

All 92-95 hatchback owners know that there is a groove just behind the backseat of the car, i make a custom holder that fits around the groove, and we're left with a face area up towards 3 feet. Enough room to fit 6x9's, 5x7's, tweeters. The holder is reinforced, and is covered with a cloth color of choice! (Which means that the speakers CANNOT BE SEEN FROM THE OUTSIDE!!!!) By the way, this also covers what subs or other valueable objects you have UNDER the cover.

I personally built one for my car (for a relatively low price) after my system got stolen the first time (I was stupid and put 2-12" subs along with a jensen amp + 6x9's visible to the world straight through my windows! I came to my car, BAM they were gone within a week. Ever since building the holder, i've had my system for 6 months, and not one person said they could find where all the speakers were in my car!

So, you know that: It's convenient, shields the speakers underneath AND shields the actual speakers on the holder, wows the audience when they can't find the speakers without taking a thourough look, and most of all, it's INEXPENSIVE (cheaper than a sub box and there ARE TONS of combinations!).

Costs -
This product is relatively low priced (price negotiable).

example: product is approximetely 3 1/2ft x 16" (The area of the trunk on the hatchback)
[R]=requirement
[O]=optional
[N] = Negotioable

(cost of your choice of 6x9's [R]) + (cost of your choice of tweeters [O]) + (Labor [N]) + all wiring for free + (Shipping [R]) + (Materials [R])

don't feel confined to this setup! You can just have 6x9's, heck, if you want, you can throw in 4-6x9s!!! It'll all fit! Tweeters are always nice too, and the labor cost is negotiable, and NOT OVER THE TOP. YOU MAKE THE OFFER ON THE LABOR COST!!! (and i'll let you know if it's realistic, or too much!)

here's a full range example:
(Kenwood - 6" x 9" Dual Cone @ $49.99) + (Pioneer - 6-1/2" 2-Way Car Speakers @ $49.99) + (Materials @ $30) + (shipping @ $25) + (wiring @ $0) + (Labor [remember, you make the reasonable offer, 99% of the time, i'll accept right away])

I've already sold 14 of these, and all but one have been please with the product (The reason that the customer was not please was because of a shipping error!)

It'll take no longer than 2 weeks from order before you can hook it up in your car (This includes the shipping time). Payment for materials is requested once the order is made through paypal, then labor costs will be charged just before the product ships.

Don't miss this deal! For less than $250 (i mean LESS or depending on the quality of the speakers), you can have a kickin' mid-range + high range sound system and best of all, it'll be hidden from the world in regards to sight, but in regard to loudness, well, that won't be a problem.

so optimistic huh?

you've never seen it before so how do you know?

You save space by using up space that you'd never use with subs or what not, and it gives added protection to what's in the trunk.

btw, if anyone wants to see pics, i got em

wow, posts = 3 ......... sounds like he's just pushing a product. I guess if the guy had bothered to read any of the posts on here he would know that few people on here are into 6X9's.

X2, I"m not sure how AF works, but this post would atleast be deleted on the other forum I'm on...

Might be better if it was in the "car parts for sale" section...

i'm not going to go and say i'm not tryign to sell product, cause I am.

BTW, of course there are tons of people into 6x9s, for they are more efficient than 6 1/4's, all great system use 6x9's because they supply great midrange sound.

Re: AWESOME 6x9 or 5x7 holder for 92-95 civic hatchback

Dude, that's just dumb. Anyone wanna back me up?

6.25" isn't even a standard speaker size... it's 6.5" and 6.75"... and round speakers are more efficient than ovals. Or, they produce better sound at the least. None of good speaker makers bother with 6x9s because of this. The only reason they exist is because car makers put them in cars, and people want to replace stock stuff without getting an adapter.

I could be wrong, but I trust what the people on this and the SiN forum say, especially those with 1000+ post counts. If they rebuke me, I'll listen and learn, but if you do, I'll just laugh. You so should be banned.

Re: AWESOME 6x9 or 5x7 holder for 92-95 civic hatchback

they make them at all different sizes... 5 1/4, 5 1/2, 6 1/4, 6 1/2.

The cone area on a 6x9 is larger than that of a 6 1/2.

6x9 = 54 sq in., 6 1/2 = pi*r^2 = 3.14 x 3.25^2 = 33.16625 - math works wonders, but then again, this is for identical specs it depends on what brand, type, power output, and power you have supplied to it.

and i use to work at best buy car audio store for 18 months before leaving for college, but we mostly had only rockford fosgate and pioneer stuff. So i was always better at the installation and mathematical facts than anything else. **Which is why a 2-12" subs are better than 1-15" sub (assuming it's the same company running the same specs)

Re: AWESOME 6x9 or 5x7 holder for 92-95 civic hatchback

so are you actually going to contribute real information to the forum, or are you just gonna spout crap that everyone already knows? Of course 6x9s have more cone area, but that isn't what I was saying, was it? I said a round cone creates better sound than an oval one. Not which one creates more.

Better sound > more sound anyday.

Oh, and best buy doesn't know crap about real car audio. RF and Pioneer are decent, but don't hold a thing to the internet brands (RE, AA, IA, CDT, Focal, etc).

I'm trying not to attack you personally, but trust me, you don't know everything there is to know about car audio. A little math and a little experience at Best Buy are good to start with, but don't give you enough experience to be the end all and be all of car audio. I'm still learning too, and it'll be a while before I get stuff right every time.

Bottom line: open your mind to new ideas. You WILL be surprised.

Re: AWESOME 6x9 or 5x7 holder for 92-95 civic hatchback

NGSM13 you make no sense.
That was a good one...
I have directions for you:
1. Go to your local Best Buy store
2. Go to the car audio section
3. Chances are, that sections of the store is similar to the one I use to work in.

and assuming that because i'm young means I don't know anything? you might want to double check yourself

as for stating that rounded cones are better than oval cones, it's a matter of opinion, quality is measured in many different standpoints, clarity being the main one, but that all depends on how aesthetic you are.

Car Audio is simple, it's individuals who make it more difficult than it should be. Being a physics major, most things, including car audio (more in through, sound) are easily defined by a set of numbers. Depending on personal preference you could determine the perfect speaker for you before even going to the store and listening to every speaker.

Sure, circles are more EFFICIENT than an oval, but when speakers are placed in the rear of the car, sound is going to get distorted no matter what. Would i ever place 6x9's in the front of the car by the driver or main passenger? No. Exactly why i have two 6 1/2's in the doors , and two 5 1/4s on the dash and the 6x9's are in the back. The fact is, that in certain frequencies, the 6x9 can't match to a 6 1/2, but it also serves true visa versa. I feel that the 6x9 is more of a complement to a sub, then to just have it as your main source output. Ultimately, the ideal system would have all aspects covered, meaning a little bit of everything.
