Need Help - Sound issue

Hi everyone,

Two weeks ago I had a new panasoinc deck (CQ-C1301U) installed in my caprice classic. It works pretty good with the bose amp. Having the ability to play mp3 is great as well. But here is my problem. When I leave from work at the end of the day I start the car and turn on the deck, it plays for about 2 minutes and then the sounds shuts off. Now in the morning when I drive to work this does not happen. I park underground in a garage that stays nice and cool. When I leave work the cab of the car is quite hot at first. This seems to be the only difference I can figure. When the sounds shuts off the deck still functions normally - just no sound. If I shut the deck off and right back on it will play for a minute or so shut down again. However, if I leave the deck off for like 4-5 minutes as I am driving and then turn it on it will be fine and it works and sounds great. The only info related to this in the manual is if DEW is a problem.

Any suggestions to what is happening would be greatly appeciated.

Thanks!

does this happen at any volume or just when it's turned up high

Even with it all the way down? So the headunit is still on it's just not doing anything?

I'm just trying to figure out if it's over heating or not, since you said the cabin is hot when you leave work and it's not when you leave your home, it seems like the first logical answer. And since it's summer I assume you have your AC on, and since the vents are normally right by the headunit that would explain why if you leave it off for a few minutes and then turn it on it works fine, because the AC vents cool it down so that it's back in its operable range again.

That's the only thing I can think of
