Avionixx AXT 1200.2 for a Type-X?
I was thinking about buying a single 12" Alpine Type-X, and running it off this amp, but Im not sure if the impedance matches up right. The sub is DVC, 1000 watts rms, so 500 rms per coil at 4 ohms each.
Here are the specs for the amp...
RMS Power @ 4ohm, <0.05% THD 2x300
RMS Power @ Bridged 4 ohm <0.5% THD 1x1200
RMS Power @ 2 ohm, <0.5% THD 2x600
Will this end up giving me 600 watts per coil if I bridge it...or will it only give 300? Hooking it up as 2 SVC subs would only give it 300 watts per coil I believe. Any help would be great.

Nope, it will give you 300rms PER COIL @4ohms. Or if you parallel the subwoofer, bringing it to 2ohms...you could only use ONE channel @2ohms...b/c the amplifier is not stable @2ohms bridged. I owned two AXT1200.2's, no problems when I owned them...solid amps In my personaly experience. THO, when I did sell them...next owners DID have problems...

BOTH next owners..... one of which was me.... it just randomly friend AS SOON as it was turned on from the remote wire the first power up after the install.... checked and everything was fine so i dunno what the hell..... but I got it repaired and sold it and its working fine now and hasn't had a problem with the current user (had it for like 4 or 5 months now)
