i want to buy some hard hitting 12's....suggestions?
what are one of the hardest hitting spl 12 inch subs? i am looking for 2 12" subs, both for under $400. i was gonna either go for 2 12'' alpine type r's. theyre either 1000w or 1500w each. but then a friend reccomended some kicker 12's not sure L7 or L5 though? what do u guys suggest for daily driver, hardest hitting subs 2 12's

Don't know what specs you're lookin at but Type R's are like 300-400 rms(rms is what counts not max). L7's are like 750 rms...L7's will hit alright and maybe you can get 2 12's off ebay for $400 or less. However guys are gonna read this thread and sound off about one 15" as opposed to 2 12's and suggesting brands you've probably never heard of. Take their advice, shop around, try to bare with them, and pick something that works for you.

Garbage...
If you want something that will be amazing, and right up your alley (at least from your descriptions) check out the Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12". I use one 12" w/ 600rms on it in a custom ported box by me...and It is simply unbelievable...AMAZING output...two 12 LI's would be crazy insane. peace

Re: i want to buy some hard hitting 12's....suggestions?
some other subs to look at besides the LI's:
DD3512 (SPL daily oriented in the 3XX's but i for get exacts)
RE SX 12 (more of a daily sub and around 300 each)
RE XXX 12 (a skip, jump, and hop above 400) (also more of a daily SQ sub with extreme output than an SPL sub)
Avalanche 12 is comming out soon (same deal with the XXX's and the current ava's have awsome output. expected price is going to be somewhere just under 300)
i would put something from adire but right now all we have is MSRP.

NO, can you read?!?!?! Really....
The current stock is being sold at those prices, aka, existing AVA12's will be sold @ $200. Then after all is sold, it'll be a few months till they are back in

Re: i want to buy some hard hitting 12's....suggestions?
If you're looking for something a little bit lower in the wattage, but a LOT lower in the $$$. try Pioneer. I have two 12" 600W max subs from them. I'm running them on a 1200W Profile amp and they kick like a mule. The best part is that they will only set you back around $60 a piece. For that price you could have 6 for under $400.
But if you want even more power, like others have said, look around. Buy a car audio mag, and search websites such as, www.crutchfield.com and www.circuitcity.com. Once you find the sub you want, run a search on ebay. I saved $70 on an amp by buying on ebay.
Good luck with your search

True lower end Pioneer subs are pretty damn good for the money, buuuut there are better. Crutchfield an circuitcity = plthhhhh. Forget the mainstream stuff, look into Resonant Engineering, Ascendant Audio, Incriminator Audio an so on. Profile make pretty solid amps at an to (just as im writing this a huge car accident happened right infront of my work, jus had to throw that in there) .
