Pioneer and Kenwood
I'd like your opinions on these 2 manufacturers in regards to head units.
I want to replace an old Sony with,possibly,a head unit from one of these 2.
Not a high-end unit.A unit for less than 200 bucks.One better than the other?Both just about the same?Both just so-so?

or panasonic, like I got. Or clarion or eclipse. Pioneer and Kenwoods are big name crap. Not total crap, but worse than the others in terms of features and quality.

Is say panasonic or clarion kenwood if thats what your stuck on. One thing i always look at is if it you can get it from walmart its not worth the time.

Like Diceman said, Go alpine. I bought mine for under $200 and its awesome. You have soo much control over everything. look into it.

WTF!?!? Pioneer is outstanding when it comes to quality head-units. Alpine and Pioneer are pretty much in the same category, ugh, cant believe you even said that. Panasonic an Eclipse are far better than Clarion, IMO Eclipse>Panasonic but not by much.

Hey, they were all in the "average" part of the brand listing in the newb thread. At least, they are in that price range (less than $200). Aplines at that price are better than most, and when I was looking at low end pioneer/kenwoods, they all had like zero features compaired to clarions, panasonics, alpines and eclipses.
I'm just going by my memory here, so if you wanna prove me wrong, go for it. I'll just accept it and move on. I just wouldn't go for pioneers at that price is all.

True, in that spec. price range I would opt for the other options as well. But that gives no reason to call, and i quote "big name crap". just be a lil easier on those words ey
